Yours of the 26th I have just rec[eive]d and the Mistake you speak of in the Rookhope Dec[embe]r Quarter Acco[un]ts is in wrong Cop[y]ing for the price p[er] Bing of the Wolfcleugh Ore is 12d therefor[e] the Sum & quantity of Ore are both right – you’ll please to correct the price in the Acco[un]ts you have – I have here with sent the Pay-Bill, Rental & General Acco[un]ts and also the Mill Month Acco[un]ts all of w[hi]ch I hope you’ll find right – pray make my Comp[liment]s to Mr Blackett, would have wrote w[i]th these Acco[un]ts but was afraid of losing this day’s post as you was desirous of having them as soon as possible – I am w[i]th Comp[limen]ts &c

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
