In the Footsteps of the Lead Miners – Guided Walk, Allendale
Thursday 2nd October. 10.30am – 3.30pm. Part of the North Pennines Walking Festival
8 mile walk along quiet lanes,moorland tracks and riverside paths, climbing to a height of 1200ft to get a stunning view of the North Pennine Valley. Carry on Mining…Ore – opening night of our comedy play
Saturday 8th November – 7-10pm – Slaley Commemoration Hall
Opening night of our comedy loosely based on the research into the lives of the smelters and carriers. Performed by David Nixon and his cast. Three course meal served between acts.
