Know All Men by these Presents That I Edward Blackett of Rippon in the County of York Esquire am hereto and firmly bond to John Wise of the Borough of Warwick in the County of Warwick Esquire In One Thousand pounds of Good an lawfull Money of Great Britain To be paid to the said John Wise or to his certain Attorney Executors Administrators of Assigns For which Payment to be well and Faithfully made I bind myself my Heirs Executors and Administrators firmly by these Presents Sealed with my Seal Dated this First day of June in the Twenty Second Year of the Reign of our Soverign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth and in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven Hundred and Forty nine The Condition of this Obligation is such That if the above bounden Edward Blackett his Heirs Executors or Administrators shall and doe well and truly pay or Cause to be paid to the above named John Wise his Executors Administrators or Assigns the Full Summ of Five Hundred pounds of lawfull Money of Great Britain with lawfull Interest for the same on the First day of December next ensuing the Date of these Presents then this Obligation to be void and of no Effect or else to be and remain in full Force and virtue Sealed and Delivered the paper Edwd Blacket [His seal and signature] being first duly stampt in the presence of us Matt: Wise Hen: Wise [all sign] Sr Edwd Blacket Dr to Elizth Wise E[xecu]trix of John Wise Esq 1749 June 1st then due on the within Bond 500 Interest thereof to 17th Dec 1750 being upon 6 Months and 16 Days 38 11 11 538 11 11 1750 Dec 17 Then paid 150 388 11 11 [receipt given on opposite leaf:] Recd Decr 17 1750 in part of this Bond by the Hands of Mr Thos Harrison the Sum of One Hundred and fifty Pounds P[er] me John Wise Interest thereof to the 20th Dec being 3 days 3 388 14 11 Dec 20th Then paid 168 [receipt given on opposite leaf:] Recd Decr 20 1750 in part of this Bond by the Hands of Mr Thos Harrison the Sum of One Hundred and Sixty Eight pounds P[er] me John Wise 220 14 11 Interest thereof to 20th Dec 1756 being 6 years 66 4 6 286 19 5 Recd in part of Interest in Two Payments 32 [receipts given on opposite leaf:] Recd Jany 10 1752 the Sum of Sixteen pounds by the Hand of Edwd Blackett Esq for Interest on this Bond Dew the first Day of June 1751 P[er] me John Wise Recd August 19 1753 the Sum of Sixteen pounds by the Hand of Edwd Blackett Esq for Interest on this Bond dew the first day of June 1753 P[er] me John Wise 254 19 5 1753 Augst 19th to Cash advanced Sr Edward 8 8 £263 7 5 Recd 17th Dec 1756 of Sr Edward Blackett Baronet Two Hundred and Sixty Three pounds Seven Shillings and Five pence being in full of the Principal and Interest due of the within Bond at demand and due to the Estate of the within named John Wise I say recd the same for the use of the abovenamed Elizabeth Wise his executrix by me £263-7-5 <C M> Welbank [on verso:] 1 June 1749 Bond from Edward Blackett Esqr to John Wise Esqr For £500
