Sir

I am favoured with your letter of 23 inst & have this day remitted Messrs Goslings & Co £375 for your 2 years Comp[ositio]n for Tythe Ore. If it should equally meet your convenience I should be glad to make the payment to you here to any person you may appoint to call for it; or to pay your cheque to the Durham Bank on the day Money becomes due. I am for TRB & Co CB

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
