Mr George Selby in Alnwick Newcas Wednesdy 4 May 1774 Sir To my great Surprise I received Letters from Mr Darwin on Sunday last inclosing the draft of the Conveyance of Unthank with several Queries made by him in the Margin of it & a Letter with several more all tending to satisfy his doubts about the parcels etc which he said appeared to him very confused and uncertain - These Queries he might have made on his receiving the Copy of the Description of the parcels Boundaries etc which I sent him on the 16 March last, however I answered them all Yesterday and returned him the draft as he desired and don’t doubt but you will have it very soon & that it may be engrossed and executed this Month or early in June as Sir Walter Blackett will I hope be then in the Country - If so it may not be necessary to fix any rent upon Unthank farm - If it should I shall against the 12th instant endeavour to obtain Sir Walters directions - I believe Sir Walter will have no Objection to Newcastle Bank Notes if they are not too small Sums I am etc HR
