To Mr Jameson Wine Mercht Leith                                                        Newcastle 6th March 1768

Sir

Upon returning to this town yesterday I found your Letter of the 18th of last month. I readily take the hogshead of Claret you mention to have sent to Hexham & desire you will draw a bill upon Mr Hen Richmond my Agent in this town for the sum mentioned in the bill you enclosed me vizt £42 6s 0d. I am etc  Wr Blackett

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
