To Mr John Cross in Leeds Newcas[tle] 3rd May 1765

Yorkshire

D[ea]r Sir I have sent you by Warburton thirty Pounds fourteen shillings and have kept the Twenty nine Pounds six shillings, which you desired me to pay to Mr. Robson, these two sums make up the Sixty Pounds you sent me a Receipt for. Mr Robson says you owe him £41.6s.0d and has made out an acco[un]t of it, which is here in closed but I did not chuse to pay him more than you ordered and have left the rest to be adjusted between him and you against the next payment.

Sir Walter is obliged to you for your trouble in getting the endorsements made, about the £300, on his Bond to Fenwick and the Assignment thereof to Ward.

I am glad you are so well recovered of your long indisposition. I am etc. Hen Richmond

A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
