Sir

	Your Letter of the 7th instant is far from satisfying Sir Walter Blackett who has given you so much time for the payment of the Arrear of Rent due from you to him for Unthank Colliery; however he is willing to forebear a little longer before he puts the Bond in Suit & provided you pay One hundred Pounds in one month from this date and the other on or before the 31st of December next he will be Content otherwise Mr Gibson will have orders to proceed                                       I am etc   HR

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
