Mr Duffield - Gardinir at Wallington                                              Newcas   17th Novr 1775



Sir

	Sir Walter Blackett has ordered me to discharge Mr Ralph Forster immediately from his Service which I have done by a Letter delivered him by the Bearer.  As to the two Drainers Mr Blackett tells me they will not come this Six Weeks or two months to Wallington; having met with a Job that detains them - P.S.  I am sorry for your Accident; as to the Drainers I do not suppose they have any Beds of their own so they must be supplied.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
