Sir

	Inclosed you receive three Bills as above - the two first amounting to £500 I send you to pay Sr. Ed Winningtons half years due from Sir Wr. Blackett the 6th of next Month and in the mean time desire you will place these Bills to my Accot. & advise me of the Receipt of them - the other Bill for £170 is to enable you to make the quarterly and other payments for Sir Wr. to the 30th Septemr. next & you will please to send me the usual Receipt for it to be a voucher to my Accot. with Sir Walter.

	Sir Walter seems to be something better these two or three days; he went from hence yesterday for Harrogate - & before he went asked if you would be in Newcastle this vacation - I told him I believe you intended it & then he desired I would write you to bring any papers you have respecting his private Affairs.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
