To Mr Darwin Greys Inn London Newcas[tle] 31 Octo[be]r 1766 Sir Inclosed I send you three bills for fourteen hundred & forty five pounds, as above; the £495 bill is to pay Mr Savage’s int[e]r[es]t due 6th of next month & in the mean time to be placed to my acco[un]t and advised of accordingly. The £450 bill is on acco[un]t of the quar[ter]ly payments you are to make for Sir W[alte]r Blackett to 31st Dec[embe]r next; & you will please to place it to his acco[un]t & send me a receipt for it after the usual form. And the £500 bill is to be placed also to Sir W[alte]rs acco[un]t, being sent you by his order; and I desire you will give me advice of your receiving it & placing it so for this being a distinct article in my books from the quar[ter]ly payments requires a separate voucher. If you should be called upon for £1.10s.10d for the inclosed note of candles I shall be obliged to you if you will pay it and place it to my acco[un]t. Sir W[alte]r is very well again, all but the lameness left by the gout. Turn over I have sent this day sent you by Fryer Todd the London carrier a piece of silver weight six hundred & seventy one ounces & a half, which I desire you will place to Sir W[alte]r Blacketts Account at the market price and advise me on your receipt of it.
