Ravensworth Castle Febry 15th . 1738/9 To Mr A Bunting at Hexham Mr Bunting We have Considerd the affaire Relating the Copper at Dilston wch Mr Midford offers to buy & have also Considered abt. its value & upon the whole we come to a Resolution to take no less of him than 1s3d per pound & we hope that it will be Cheaper to him at that price than any new one he can buy any where. We have Inclosed the Note of the things Mr Busby gave to us for wch Houshold Goods he had delivered him. And we dsire that Mr Busby may have his Linnen & <Cornefines> wch is said all to be in one Chist. But <mind> what follows he is to Enter into a Bond to us to keep & save us harmless from the <Executors> of the Late Mrs Radcliff, which Bond let Mr Downs Draw & Inumerate every thing formerly Delivered Mr Busby & what you Deliver him now we are sorry to putt Mr Busby to this Trouble & Expence but we realy cannot Avoid it, & poor man he wants the Linnen much therefor doe this as soon as you can. Give him up his note when he signs the Bond. We have sent you the List of the Deales that was found & was Left in Dilston hall at the time the Inventory was taken and if you doe not find so many remaining, goe & gett a War[ran]t upon Matt Thompson for Wm. Bickerdike absolutely says that Matt: Thompson brought them the Deales, & we believe he has Stole them. We hope he will be bound over to the Sessions, Secure the Clock Cases & all the Materials you find in the room, Sure never men were used as we are by these brothers we are Yr Humbl.
