Sir

       You’ll receive herewth. a Box containing two Plates of Silver as p[er] inclosed Accot. & also the Month Accots. for the Smelt Mills for September Last.

	In my last I gave you an Accot. of the Sum that it would take to pay the Ore Carriage to this Mill to MidSummer last, & that they were to be paid by the Agreement in Octobr: & that I would come for the Cash whenever you pleased to appoint.   not hearing f’m you since makes me suppose that it has escaped your Memory, therefor should be glad if you would fix the time when you give the Accot. of the Silver being come to Hand & am yrs. &c IH Jr

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
