Foster Lane - London

Sir I have been from home for some days at my return I found your favour of the 11th inst. informing me of the death of your Father Mr Lyde Browne on which Melancholy event I sincerely Condole with you. I shall be happy in doing business with you as usual & have not the least doubt respecting the Punctuality of your Payments etc. There is a mistake in your Accot. of the last Cake of Silver I sent you of £1 wch. you will please to rectify & Credit Sir Thomas Blacketts Acct, for the Same. Mr Walton sent Mr Holmes a Cake at the same time for wch. he is allowed 5.8 3/4 P oz which is 1/4 P Oz more than you allow Sir Thomas, but as your late Father made a Complaint of the Quality of that Price owing I believe to some of the Test being taken off with it, I shall not say anything more as to that matter. I am etc J.E.B.
