Dear Mad[a]m       I received your Favour of the 24th Ult.   I have remitted to Mr. Thomas Wall Paper Buildings Temple £1248.9.10 to pay the late Sir Walter Blacketts Bond & Notes with the Interest to the 1st May next on which day that Gentleman will pay the several Sums to the Person you may empower to receive the same on his Delivery of the Bond & Notes with proper Receipts, a Copy of which I inclose you     it will be necessary that the Receipts should be signed by you Mr. Astle & I imagine by Mr. Rolleston;  You will please to inform me who you appoint to receive the Money that I may acquaint Mr. Wall. The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
