I hope you have received the Book of Accounts. Your Lead Stewards were with me for Subsistence for the Workmen on Tuesday last. They came a Week sooner than usual on account of the Holydays. They gave pretty much the same account of the State of the Mines as when last down. They will be down again about the 20th Febry next & before that Time send me a State of their Accounts. On the 19th instant I sold Mr Chrisr Blackett 2000 ps of Common Lead at 16 3/4 p Fother 1000ps refind lead at £17 & 100 casks Litharge at 17 1/4 p Ton. It is probable I shall not make any more Sales of Lead (except small parcels) till the Spring. The person who made proposals for Renting your Garden at £20 p Year will now have nothing to do with it & the only offer I have made is from Dale who will not give more than 10 p Annum from May next.
