Dr Sir	I send you inclosed a Bill drawn by Mr C Blackett on Thos Preston Esqr for £4122 - 7 - 3 the Receipt of which please to acknowledge _ I have sold a considerable Quantity of Lead the times of payment etc as at foot you will possibly think the prices low & the Credit long but be assured that the terms were the most advantageous that I could obtain; the Lead Co sold 10000 p[iece]s at £14-10 the Credit longer about the like Quantity in other hands has been sold at the same price _ I am sorry to say that at present there is not any prospect of an Advance of price; it will be 4 Mo[nth]s before the Q[uanit]ty of Refin’d that I have sold will be compleated from Blaydon & Dukesfield _ Mr I Hunter is now much Recovered & is able (with some little assistance of his Son) to look after his business                I am etc   J.E.B



9th Septem  8000 P[iece]s Lead Refin’d  £14-15 

                               Common   £14-10  Slag  £14  

       to be paid for in Bills due 5th April next



3rd Octor  15000 p[iece]s Lead at the above prices to the Works of  

  Walkers & Co  1000 p[iece]s of which to be d[elivere]d in this    

  Month & 2000 p[iece]s in each succeeding Month to be paid in Cash    

  or Bills due at the time in Nine Mo[th]s as each Q[uan]ty becomes 

  due



3rd Octor  4000 p[iece]s Lead at the above prices to be paid for in 

  9 Mo[nth]s from the date as above



17th Octor  7000 p[iece]s Lead at the above prices & payment

            2000 p[iece]s to Sundry Persons at £14-17-6 & £14-12-6
