Sir     Your letters of the 28th Oco[be]r & the 11th Ult. I duly received     the latter inclosing Mr Darwins Letter & the two Bonds & Receipts.

     I do not understand what Mr Darwin means by saying that the preceeding Years Int[e]rest on his two Bonds was not fully discharged     I remitted Money to him for the Quarterly  Payments as usual which I understood was settled to 31st Decem[be]r 1776 for Sir W[alte]r Blackett always settled those Acco[un]ts himself with Mr Darwin,

     Inclosed you have Sir Thos. Blacketts Bond to Dr. Blackett for £2000 which you will please to deliver up to Dr. Blackett on his giving a Discharge on two Bonds of Sir W[alte]r Blacketts

      I must likewise desire that you will pay Dr. Blackett the Int[e]rest on said Bonds amounting to  £67 . 1s . 5d for which you have Receipts inclosed for him to sign     when this is done please inclose me the Bonds and Receipts     this will make an Alteration in your Quarterly Payments  _  You have likewise Messrs. Bell Cookson & Cos Bill  on Castell & Co.  at 20 d[ays] dated 29 Novem[be]r for £200 which when paid please to apply that Sum to the payment of two Legacys left by the late Sir W[alte]r Blackett to his Servants Matt[he]w Dixon & Rob[er]t White for which you have Receipts inclosed.  They are in Sir John Trevelyans Service.   JEB
