Mr Thomas Wall Paper Buildings Newcas 20th Augt. 1777 Temple London Sir I had a Letter from Sir John Trevelyan the Last Post acquainting me that he should appoint you to transact his affairs in London in the room of Mr Will[ia]m Alvey Darwin of Hatton Street No. 47 who is declining Business I have by this Post wrote to inform Mr Darwin who will give you the necessary Information with respect to the Payments that are to be made each Quarter on Sir Johns Account _ Mr Darwin I believe leaves London in October next and the first Payments to be made by you will commence that Month on which Account you will have a Remittance made you. You will please to favour me with your Answer as soon as you have seen Mr Darwin. P.S. I am favoured with your Letter of the 16th instant & observe that you have agreed to accept of the offer Sir John Trevelyan has made you. I am etc J. E. B.
