	Inclosed you will receive two Bills drawn by Messrs Bell Cookson & Co on Hallifax & Co - One for Four hundred & fifty seven Pounds at 30 days date to make good your quarterly & other payments on Sir Walter Blacketts Account from 30h of June to the 31st Decemr next - The other Bill at Twenty days Date for five hundred pounds which will enable you to pay Mr Simond the like Sum which Mr Hague took up from that Gentleman by the direction of Sr Wr Blackett - You are desired by Sir Walter to pay Mr Simond the Interest for the <Time> & charge it to his Account - You will please to send me your receipt for £457 for the quarterly payments as usual - the hurry of the Election was the Occasion of my Omission for the former Quarter.  I this post recd a Letter from Mr Hague with an Account of what he has expended on the Election Business & when every thing is discharged on that Account I desire you will send me an Account of what you have paid                                       I am etc          J E Blackett

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
