Sir	Mr Blackett will be much Obliged by you letting him know the State of your Market at this time for Lead __ There is little or no Demand here at present for that Article, the last Mr B Sold was at £21-10 per Fo[dde]r but some has been sold so low as £20 per Fo[dde]r and it is fear’d that it will be lower                                                        I am etc     I.S.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
