D[ea]r Sir	Mr Blackett has by this a letter from Mr Browne of London acquainting him that he had received the Piece of Silver that you sent him, at the same time requesting that you might be informed of his having received it _ Sir Thomas has called upon him & told him if he should have occasion for any money while he was in London that he wo[ul]d draw on him, the Weight & price you have below                                                                 I am etc  J.S

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
