      I am honored with your Letter of the 29th Ult accompanied with the agreement for Lot Ore and in this & another cover you will receive Cash Acc[oun]t and  Lead Sales for last month and have much pleasure in adding that I have this day sold 1500 Pieces of refined Lead to Messrs Preston & Sons @ £27 Per Fo[dder]. The attempts of reducing the price of Lead are now I trust entirely defeated & without being too sanguine, a conclusion may be drawn of the markets continuing favourable to your Interest.

      Messrs Walkers Maltby & Co have engaged to supply the East India Co with 2000 Tons of Lead at the low price of £21 per Ton, a circumstance sufficiently accounting for their late conduct, but which they must now feelingly repent. On the 25th Ult I remitted Messrs Glyn & Co £30.593-13-2, the particulars are annexed. Ald[erma]n Blackett has not taken any notice of my application to him for the settlement of his cash Balances and I submit to you the expectancy of Mr Bowns as your Auditor, writing to him upon the subject & also that he will settle with Mr Wilson the expences of the suit; & in consequence of the Bishop being finally paid, to order the Leases etc for Weardale to be sent to this office. The direction upon the Trunks and Plate Chest is sufficient for their safe destination and every care will be taken of them while they remain here. Mr Thomas will be made acquainted with your wishes respecting the Moors <&c> & also to enquire the wants, if any, of the Gamekeeper. I purpose going to the Mines next week to meet Mr Dickinson to let the quarterly Bargains & have the etc  MM
