I beg to inform you that I have waited upon Mr Pearson respecting the loan to Mr Baker and have received assurances that every exertion will be made to repay it, and I do hope from the various sources which Mr Pearson has pointed out likely to obtain money from, that it will not be long before the business is settled. 	I am etc MM

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
