Addressed to Col Beaumont Bretton

				

      I beg to enclose Mr Dickinson’s Report which is now entered in the Office Book and to inform you that by the Mail Coach which conveys this, a Parcel will be received containing the Account which Mr Bowns desires by his Letter of the 3rd instant to be forwarded. The weight of the Account exceeds two Ounces and therefore to avoid unnecessary expense is this mode of Conveyance adopted.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
