Above is an account of Ore raised out of Col Beaumont’s Mines in Weardale for four years ending in 1807; the quantity raised to the 30th September last will be sent you so soon as I receive the amount from Mr Emerson together with a Statement of the whole, commencing from the accession of the present Bishop to the See of Durham, including the Sum paid to his Lordship & the charges incurred in the Suit, relating to the Lot Ore. It is necessary for me to inform you that the present agreement with the Bishop is £4000 Per annum to be paid by quarterly instalments  - viz the 30thof December next, 30 March, 30 June & 30th September following and so on during his Lordship’s life or possession of the See of Durham.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
