Having heard that the enclosed Bill was in hands, of the Printer  & wo[ul]d be distributed today, I have obtained it from him in time to save the Post, & which I think of importance sufficient to forward for your information. - Who the new Candidate for the County may be, or who is meant to be applied to, to come forward, I am unable to surmise

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
