pray doe mee the kindness as deliver the Inclosed and if the party will Signe the Release be pleased to be a Witness thereto after w[hi]ch lett him have itt and doe w[ha]t hee will w[i]th itt; if hee aske you if you will pay the money pray give him for answer that you will nott creditt mee for soe much; lett himselfe send itt downe to whome hee pleases; in this part of the Countrey and when I know where to finde itt; shall see to gett itt In and pay the money pray excuse the trouble; and doe this kindness for mee, And you will very much oblidge    M:B:

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
