I sent you from Houghton upon Sunday last two letters wch I perceive Came too late the post being gone, I desire you that you would be pleased to take Care as to send them away this post for they are both letters on Concerne pray lett mee have a line from you that they are both sent away and you will oblidge MB

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
