Ravensworth Castle. May 29 1741 To John Airey Esqr. Sir We desired Mr Bunting to Come down & acquaint us this day with what further Steps have been taken in regard to the Colliery at High Green and as we find you have taken his Information & have likewise acquainted Mr Radley with the Steps which have been taken, we Intend only to Mention the Affair to the Board this day, & refer to Yours to Mr Radley & we desire you will from time to time acquaint him with what is Necessary in Relation thereto. As Mr Reed advised to have Mr Delavall & Mr Anesley as Justices I will write to the Latter this post to desire his good offices, so that when you have wrote Mr Delavall & have directed Mr Bunting what Steps to take I hope Mr Anesley will be ready to Joyn in the Affair. It is a Verry troublesome one & I wish we were Clear of it & am for Mr Boag & Self Sir Your Obliged Servt Nichos. Walton
