To Mr Jos. Pearson

Mr Pearson

Mr Speedings are declared the best Bidders for the Kesw.ck Woods at £4100 alltho’ any Person may between this & the beginning of Next Terme make further Proposalls which will be received, & if better than Mr Speedings will have the Confirmacion . I desire you will therefore on rece.t. hereof Accquaint all such Persons as you think woud make proposall for it is a Shame those woods should be sold so much under their real worth. The whole Valuatio was near £5000 - so that there is room to make an Addition of a large sum to Mr Speedings proposalls. I hope youll be Industrious in this and make it as publick as possible that any person may make offers before the 15th of Next Month. I wish Mr Speedings <then> would do it, as they will undoubetely have their present proposall Set aside in the Shape it is. I am

      Yours &c

      Nich. Walton
