Ravensworth Castle. March 31. 1741 To William Corbett Esqr Sir Since the Accot. we gave you of Mr Hunters Bidding ane Advance of £500 for the Derwentwater Woods in the County of Northumberland we have had with us Stephen Elteringham & Ptners with a fresh proposall to give a further Advance of about the Same sum so that we presume before this reach your hand these Gents. will Offer for the Northumberland Woods at least £5000. We begg leave to recomend it to the persons Concerned in the Sale, not to be too hasty for we think it will run to about £5200 if not more. Keswick or Cumberland Woods will we believe be likewise advanced but whether to the Value we cannot Say. however we begg leave to Observe that Unless they are Sold at £4800 or more, that they be unsold another Year in which time we doubt not but to procure purchasers. We have sent Mr Radley this day the Tacknote of the Lead Comp.y & Matt. Cousens & Race with our Remarks thereon, to which we begg leave to Referr. and we are Sir Yours &c Walton & Boag
