Intended INCLOSURE



THE FREEHOLDERS, COPYHOLDERS, AND ALL OTHER PERSONS IN ANY-WISE INTERESTED in the dividing and inclosing of the Common-Fields, and Waste-Lands, within the several Townships or Graveships of Wakefield, Stanley, Wrenthorpe, Alverthorpe, and Thornes, in the Parish of WAKEFIELD, in the County of York, are requested to meet at the MOOT-HALL, in WAKEFIELD, on Monday the 26th of November Instant, at twelve o’Clock at Noon, to consider and determine on several Matters respecting this Inclosure: AND THEY ARE HEREBY PARTICULARLY INFORMED, that the Bill to be presented to Parliament, for the said Inclosure, is intended to be then read, and offered for the Signature of such Persons present as approve thereof.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
