Shawdon 14th. Septr. 1804 Dear Sir I am favourd with your Letter of the 10 Inst. by which I find that Mrs. Stead accepts my offer of Twenty Thousand Pounds for Ryal. I have sold Property to the amount of near £ 40,000, for which I am to be paid by instalment; I am to be paid £ 10,000 in the course of next year 1805, and the remainder of the purchase money in the two succeeding years 1806 & 1807. I hope this may suit Mrs. Stead: it will be my inclination as well as interest to pay the money sooner and I have reason to expect that it will be in my power to do so. I am with regard Dear Sir Your most Obedt. Servt. Wm. Hargrave
