Finlay Hodgson & Co London Dec 12th 1833 I am favoured with your letter of the 9th and 10th inst advising the Payment of £1000 to Mr B[eaumont]s credit at Glyns & Co on account of Bills rec[eived] from Cox Payser & Co. I am glad you have effected a Sale to Locke & Co and have induced them to take one half of the ref[ine]d Lead of the Ordinary quality. I fear you will not be able to make your Sales generally in this proportion but it is very desireable when ever it can be done. I shall give Mr J Crawhall, Mr Keys agent here – an order for 3000 P[iece]s Ordinary Refined Lead today and he may ship any part of it immediately. I go on Monday to the Mines with the subsistence Money and will bring down a correct Statement of the Stock at each mill. It will be inconsiderable, not exceeding in the whole 1500 or 2000 Pieces exclusive of <of make> Lead at Allen and Fallerfield Mill and of which there is but a sufficient quantity to carry on the Refinery Furnaces at these places. BJ P.S. Interest Book and Book of Balances to be sent.
