Messrs Finlay Hodgson & Co London I am favoured with your letter of 11th inst advising the receipt of £1542-14 from Mr W[ilia]m Parker and payment of the same to Mr B[eaumon]ts credit at Glyn & Co. On the <annexed> sheet I send you a statement of our stock of Lead at the Blaydon and the Mills by which you will see that there is a considerable deficiency to meet our present sales. There will however be little difficulty in effecting it before the purchasers require the delivery. I shall continue to send you a weekly statement of stock at Blaydon, which will be a guide to you for all future sales. As the Lead now comes in rapidly from the Mills, I consider the Blaydon return will give you all the information required to regulate your sale; connecting with it Mr P (Pattinson?) report of the prospective produce of the Mills for the next year. You may always conclude that the Stock of Lead at the Mills will never exceed one third of a months production. The usual monthly returns from the Mills will be sent but it would be attended with considerable inconvenience to send them oftener. Three of the Bills you rec[eive]d from Cox Payser & Co am[ountin]g to £176-3- would fall due before the £1000 last advised of but which you don’t notice
