Messrs Finlay Hodgson & Co London Aug 17 1833 Annexed you have a statement of the Stock of Lead unsold at Blaydon and the respective Mills on the 31st July after sales of last week are deducted, and 15,000 P[iece]s of the Ordinary refined Lead are supposed to be recast into Common of 11 St[one] Pieces. The Lead at the Mills will be delivered at Blaydon by the end of next Month I have considered only 15.000 of the 23.000 to be recast to leave a sufficient quantity of Ordinary refined [Lead] to meet our sales of ref[ine]d Lead in the proportion of One third. If necessary 5,000 frs more may be applied. 500 frs will be recast next week and from 500 to 800 weekly afterwards. To effect which some additional Pans will have to be set. I did not arrive until yesterday after a tedious Passage, and have been engaged all day with Mr Donkin which prevents me giving you the required information on other matters but will furnish it in the course of next week. A Piece of fine Silver was forwarded to you as usual on the 27th ult weight 941 3/4 Ounces and a second this day weight 1763 ounces. The [£] 330-6-7 rec[eive]d for the piece of Silver last sold.
