      I received your lre (letter) of the 2nd inst on Monday and having an engagement early that morning at Bywell I was prevented answering it until my return today.

      My lre to you of Saturday last would have cross yours of same date and would supply you with all the information required as to the time when we could deliver Messrs Cox  Payser & Co 35 Tons of Litharge. I have not received any instructions from them for shipment but will immediately attend to any they may favor one with and effect it at the lowest possible charge.

Of the refined Lead at Blaydon returned as Stock on Saturday last 11.0</5> P[iece]s are selected Refined.				BJ

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
