Finlay Hodgson & Co Sept 7 1833 Since I had the pleasure to address you on the 4th Inst. I have rec[eive]d your favours of the 3rd & 5th. The former handing statement of Mr Keys receipts & payments for the month of Aug & advising Receipt of £292-18 from Messrs Grace & Freeman with its applications. The latter advising the sale of two pieces of fine Silver & payment of the net proceeds £939-13-8 to Mr Beaumonts credit with Glyns & Co. I now inclose my Monthly Cash A/c also Monthly Cash A/c with Batson Berry & Co & Stockton List. You will perceive a decrease of upwards of 8000 p[iece]s since the last return at Stockton. I beg to call your attention to Mr Burnett’s correspondent remark that the returns are given in confidence. I will reply to Messrs Locke & Co s complaint as soon as I have made the necessary inquiries. I am etc BJ P.S. I hear the Company have sold 5000 p[iece]s to Mr Thompson.
