      In reply to your letter of the 16th inst. I do not know that the Hudgill Co have made any sales at £13.10 and £14 but I know they have refused £13 and £13.10 and will remain firm.

I have not sent any Silver to Rendell & Co for some time on account of their making a regular reduction of two or three ozs upon every piece of Silver sent to them for Dross and generally about the same for refining of weight. Storr & Mortimer with one exception never complained of the quality or weight of the Silver, but their Acct is sometimes to a considerable amt. and they have not always been punctual in paying on the day or week that is was due to Glyns & Co. If you are satisfied they are quite safe I can change the mode of payment and draw upon them for the Acct of each piece of Silver as it falls due twenty days after they receive it. I shall send Mr Bell £3000 in Mr Bts landed Acct on Saty week. I yesterday forwarded to your address two pieces of fine Silver Per Jacksons Waggon weighing 

      1 Piece fine Silver  2724 Ozs

      1 Ditto              1904 1/2 Ozs

Which you will please to dispose of as you think best.   BJ
