Wrote Mr Denton about the Deficiency of Pealing wine, & desir'd him to take <Robt> Long with him & pay <or tender> only 12.11.2 the <Clark>, unless he saw no reason to pay the whole sum demanded. Wrote him also to procure & send down Copies of the Leases of Killop & Wellop & also of Lintsgarth.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
