To Mr Geo: Edwards				Newcastle 23rd Octr 1732

I have orders to acquaint you that as you have not performed your <repeated> promisses of paying your Ballance for the Hill Bark before <then>, nor even thought fitt to let Mr Blackett have equall <A..ge> wth other People wch he might have expected from you, If you do not take care to discharge the Debt or put it in some satisfactory way of payment in 14 days from the date you must expect to meet with some speedy trouble, for no more <amusements> will have any place, I therefore hope to receive from you full satisfaction herein in the time proposed, if not you can blame non but yourself for the Consequence. I am Yours etc  J.R.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
