Sir	Mr Blackett received your Bill & Check for £4000 & enclosed you have this receipt for the same, likewise Bills of parcels for the last Lead sold you _ Mr Blackett now begs leave to make you the following Offer (Viz 2500 P[iece]s Lead 1/3 Refd & 2/3 Com[m]on at £20 per Fdr for your London House & the same quantity in the above proportions for your Works here, to be paid for at the end of six months & he will be obliged by your Answer as soon as convenient

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
