Sir

I remit you inclosed an Order on the Durham Bank for £15-1-4 in Payment of  half a year’s Moor Masters Rent & Acquitance, due to the Lord Bishop of Durham from T. R. Beaumont Esq on the 2nd Feb[ruar]y last. Respecting the Property Tax mentioned in your Letter of the 26th Ulto. I have not made any Deduction, as Mr Beaumont has hitherto deducted the Amount from the general Statement of his Income therefore the Lord Bishop will be pleased to add that Sum to the Tax he pays on Property at the next Return.

	Please to acknowledge on receipt.		I am etc CB

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
