May 10th 1803 Dear Sir Enclosed I send you a letter which I have received from His Grace of Northumberland, & will be much obliged to You to let Thomas Crawhall give in my Name and Qualification to Mr Davison. At the same time he may inform Mr <Herde> the Clergyman at N[ew]Castle that the living of Shillbottle had been promised some time before I applied <for it>.
