Mr Isaac Hunter at Dukesfield                                                          Newcas  9th July 1779



Sir

	I received yours this Morning inclosing the Monthly Accounts but what is extraordinary the Plate of Silver is not come to hand.  I have enquired of the Waggoner who says it did not come to their Waggon nor did he know any thing about it; this has made me very uneasy & as Corbeld is not in Town today I desire you will make Enquiry concerning it.  We have at last got Mr Morrows account settled as to the Land Estate but how the Lead Account is to be adjusted I don’t know & fear no better Account can be procured of the Lead delivered at Blaydon during Mr Morrows inability than what the Wainmen themselves can give & I doubt they are too sensible of Mr Morrows Inattention to that Department.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
