Mr John Bell Hexham Abbey Newcas 9th July 1779 Sir I received a Letter from Mr Blackett Yesterday who desires me to answer yours, respecting a Person to succeed Mr Morrow at Blaydon, by acquainting you that he does not intend appointing an Agent there till his return Home about the 15th instant when he will pay due Attention to your Recommendation. I received a Letter to day from Mr Hunter of Dukesfield wherein he says he has sent a Plate of Silver containing 1077 1/2 oz which is not come to hand & fear something may have happened as the Waggoner Cutht Humble can give no Account of it. Please to enquire of Mr Corbeld about the Silver for I have been very uneasy. I am etc CP
