Mr Joseph Gildart Congleton Newcas. 11th Decemr. 1778 Cheshire Sir Mr Blackett desires me to acquaint you that he has received your Letter of the 6th Novem[be]r last respecting the Int[e]rest due to Blackett Midford upon the £200 left him by the late Sir W[alte]r Blackett The Int[e]rest upon it is to Commence from the 14th Febr[uar]y last (agreeable to a Letter wrote you by Mr. Blackett on the 26th Novem[be]r 1777) so that there will be a Years Int[e]rest due to Blackett Midford the 14th Febr[uar]y next w[hi]ch Mr. Wall Paper Buildings Temple London has directions to pay on or about that Time & for the future to continue the Payment of it half Yearly on a proper Receipt being given which Mr. Wall will take Care to prepare only it will be necessary that a Certificate be produced that Blackett Midford is living.
