Sr,

      I had a letter from <Dr> Adams the same post that you rec’d yrs from Dr Ward and just now I Recd another from him which you have here Inclos’d

      I design God Willing to wait on you at beadle On Thursday next about one or two a clock, but will Eat nothing but a piece of a cold <brear> of Mutton, so if that time suit yr convenience let me have a line by the next post, for I must be at home on Saturday night. With all service from yr obliged humble servt

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
