      I Rec[ieve]d yours with Mr Fenwicks Bill for £40, be sure you make it your business to gett Mr Ward to go with you from Stagshaw back to Willwike, & view all the Dams that were made last year, & what you Judge the Charge of making of them might come to, As also what is to be done this year and what you compute the Charge may come to, I am

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
